Input buffers are a leniency mechanic where the game holds on to inputs for a few frames if they can't be used immediately. This makes extremely precise inputs much easier (1f -> 5f) by pressing the button slightly early.

These dashes would normally be frame perfect, but because of input buffering, it's much more lenient.

The game freezes for a few frames when certain things happen like dashing, breaking a dash block, collecting a refill crystal, and hitting a bumper. You can buffer an input during freeze frames to make extremely precise inputs much easier (1f -> 4f-5f).

If you dash through a 1-tile space, the game doesn't let you jump until you can uncrouch, resulting in a failed hyper. With the ceiling overhanging, this forces a failed hyper coyote jump. This tech works with both regular and forced crouch dashes.
