	This is the endurance track.
If you wanted, you could beat the level right now by heading to the left.
Alternatively, you can try to get a new high score by heading to the right and grabbing some Berries.
Jump into the background tiles to urgently return to the start of the level.

Or you could skip the gate, that's cool, I'm not bitter...

	Yo.

	[GRANNY right creepB]

	[GRANNY right normal]
	Welcome to my basement.

	[MADELINE left sad]
Isn't this similar to the C(o)redits level?

	[GRANNY right mock]
I didn't say you could speak.

	[GRANNY right normal]
Anyway, these portals lead to vanilla levels, but they're modified to be possible in several ways.
Several things have been removed as well, so there's no real goal besides having fun.
If you're {~}really{/~} hankering for something to do, you can try to get to the end of each level to collect a berry.
Feel free to use Extended Variant Mode, CelesteNet, and the Debug keys. It's encouraged here in the Hangout World.

techtorial_intro=
	[]
Welcome to the Gym for random tech that CORE found!
Most of the levels don't require this tech, but The Final Juice is relevant.
The top half, in blue, requires multiple people and CelesteNet.
The two reds on the bottom require EmoteMod, and the bottom left specifically also requires SpeedrunTool's savestates.
The only black one needs none of them. It's also the only one that CORE didn't discover on their own.
Once you get three Keys, you can beat the level by heading to the rightmost block!
	Top left: 2-Player Tunneline (2PT)
Top middle: Pause Teleport Fall Bounce (PTFB)
	Top right: Grab Clip
Bottom left: Player's Unclear Last Position (PULP) (Also the largest of the six!)
	Bottom middle: Emote Stalling
	Bottom right: Dashless Dash
If you use PULP correctly, all six are possible in singleplayer, but it's not the intention of the map.

2ptunneline=
	[]
2-Player Tunneline is a tech that allows two players to get through a tight corridor without dashing.
First, one player jumps above the spikes and pauses.
A second player then teleports to them and falls just enough for player one to bounce off them.
Player one bounces, then pauses before hitting the ceiling spikes or spinners.
Player one teleports to themselves, emotes, or uses SpeedrunTool's binoculars to reset all their speed and not fly into impalement.
Player two ALSO teleports to player one, then falls a bit so player one can move and bounce on them again.
Repeat until the tunnel is cleared.

ptfb=
	[]
Pause Teleport Fall Bounce, or PTFB, is exactly what it sounds like.
Player one bounces on player two's head to get some height, first.
Player two teleports to player one, then falls slightly.
Player one bounces on the now-higher midair player two to get even higher.
Repeat until the vertical climb is cleared.

grabclip1=
	[]
Grab clipping is a tech that allows multiple players on CelesteNet to clip through solid blocks, though only straight up.
The most reliable ways to escape a grab consistently are savestating, jumping, or emoting.
Grab another player and slam them into the ceiling until they get stuck (they should escape the grab while in a block), then teleport to them and grab again.
Repeat until the ceiling is cleared.

grabclip2=
	[]
Some really thick ceilings require multiple grab clips in a row to surpass.

grabclip3=
	[]
Grab clipping is not an invincibility measure!
Clip into the dream block, then emote to temporarily despawn it.
If that doesn't make sense, try the PULP section of the Gym first.

dashnot=
	[]
Dashless dashes are found uncommonly and were not discovered by CORE itself, but are used.
Basically, it retains a booster or similar to use later on command, but without it TECHNICALLY being dashing.
	Clear this gap.

emotestall=
	[]
Emoting cancels all your speed, including downward velocity.
By timing it right, you can get further than you normally would be able to by using it multiple times midair, like a stronger form of slowfall.
If you're finding it hard to beat this section, here's a tip:
Holding jump makes Emote Stalling significantly more effective, though it's easy to forget.
	Clear this gap.

pulp1=
	[]
Player's Unclear Last Position, or PULP, is basically teleporting.
First, align yourself above or below where you want to go (matching X coordinate), then emote, then savestate while emoting.
Second, align to the side of where you want to go (matching Y coordinate).
Very crucially, don't hold down during this part, or it'll cancel the emote and ruin the setup.
Third, emote again, then load state.
Once the state is loaded, press left, up, or right. After that, THEN you can press down to cancel the emote.
If done correctly, the X and Y coordinates will be matched and you'll teleport through the normally impassable wall.

pulp2=
	[]
Due to the nature of savestates, they will save or undo certain actions like the collection of Touch Switches.
Abuse that mechanic to grab this touch switch using PULP.

pulp3=
	[]
Using multiple savestate slots, it's possible to cross multiple gaps at once.
Use three here, cycling between them, to PULP multiple times and clear this challenge.

pulp4=
	[]
Because of reasons, emotes cause blocks to despawn as if you were invincible.
And since PULP uses emotes as a critical part of the tech, you can enter blocks and despawn them to walk inside freely.

My favorite part of the mod is ACTUALLY...
Experimenting and learning so much more about the game.

	[OSHIRO left sidesuspicious]
I've learned so much new tech, how helpers work, what my friends are good at, all because of this mapping project...
What maps I'm good at making, what maps I'm bad at making, how to patience, how to coordinate...

	[OSHIRO left serious]
	{~}{# 777777}And learned not to redo Flexwell's mistakes again...{#}{/~}

	[OSHIRO left worried]
I'm so much better than I was back then!
So many new things learned, fun stuff I did, it doesn't even matter to me if people dislike what I did! It's my mod, it's my way of having fun! I DID IT!!
	...

	[OSHIRO left nervous]
	But in more formal news...

	[OSHIRO left normal]
I've made this mod for several reasons.
To make something I can truly be proud of...
To dwarf all my prior projects in quality and quantity...
To learn how to mod Celeste more cleanly and effectively...
To show those that dislike me that I am capable...
To break records... To shatter my limits...
And simply to prove that I could.
And in my opinion, I think I fulfilled everything I wished to do.
	...

	[OSHIRO left serious]
	...
CORE Birthday Pack marks my final Celeste megaproject.
And... my departure from the Celeste community.
It's been a fun ride, but unfortunately, I think I should retreat into Operation CORE and focus on building that up.
There might be more projects in the late future, but for now, I'd like to move on to other things.
Given my past actions and the actions of others who interacted with me, I might as well go out with a bang.
We will branch out to other games beyond Celeste, and while we will come back from time to time, it won't be to this grand a scale.
Thank you to everyone who even vaguely didn't bully me for having opinions they didn't agree with.

	[OSHIRO left lostcontrol]
And an even bigger thank you...
To my great friends who supported me directly.

	[OSHIRO left serious]
	...
I might not leave the community entirely...
But I certainly won't have it on my mind 24/7.
The deed has been done, and so am I.
This final project has been an absolutely colossal, humongous, gargantuan undertaking.
It's been an insane task to finish all of this, but I hope what I made will entertain at least somebody.
And I couldn't have done it all by myself, either.
I want to thank everyone in Operation CORE for sticking with me for so long.

This rant was written several months before release.
I do not necessarily agree with everything from back then, but it's fun to watch the fireworks, so enjoy.

	[MADELINE left determinedclosed]
	Ookay, here's the thing.
There's so many things that just... upset me, for no reasonable reason.

	[MADELINE left determined]
I'm about to go thermonuclear, so just... prepare yourself, alright?

	[MADELINE left together]
	This is gonna get messy!

	[MADELINE left determinedclosed]

	[MADELINE right angry]
	FIRST of all!
	That map, Pinball Purgatory, right?
The map that is objectively correctly named Pinball Purgatory?
	It's not called Pumber!
Pumber is the name of the machine to enter the tutorial and the last required room!
Using the music as a source isn't valid because it likely references the machine and Ultraviolet is Solar Express's song!
Calling it Pumber is just lazy!
The journal calls it Pinball Purgatory, so use its name!
	SECOND of all!
Let's say you've been blocked by someone you literally never met before, yeah?
You might be wondering "hey, why did they do that?"
	Maybe you could improve from that, but {~}nooooo!{/~}
The Discord Server got a ridiculously stupid Rule Update that made it impossible to even ASK for clarification!
What is this, 1984 by George Orwell??
Can I not just simply ASK WHY so I could DO BETTER NEXT TIME???
	I have feelings too!!
It's mostly furious at this point but that's besides the point!
	THIRD of all!
Jokes that don't make sense on purpose are literally the dumbest jokes I can think of!
Some puns make sense, like wordplay, or a cleverly placed insult!
But some of these quote-unquote "jokes" make me wonder if their intelligence is even greater than a plastic box!
EXAMPLE! Someone repeatedly said "Tidal Wave? More like Tidal Tempest" when that was literally not the topic of the conversation??
And the worst part is that, sometimes, even AFTER explaining why it doesn't make sense-
-they keep doing it anyway! Just to piss off EVERYONE!
	INCLUDING THEMSELVES sometimes!!
	FOURTH of all!
Everyone's been in an absolutely pointless argument before, right?
It can't just be me, I'm sure of it!
What would it take to just realize that the argument is not worth having and walk away?
Do you have something to prove?
It's not worth it! I know this from experience!
Why do you keep squabbling with each other when all it does is make everyone miserable?
Nothing comes of it, neither of you are ever going to change!
And to the unnamed person who said "you're being more annoying than the arguers at this point"-
	-I didn't know it was a bad idea to {~}HELP{/~} people become better, oh my {~}god!{/~}
	FIFTH of all!
Have you ever had a "friend" you've known for a while, kinda got mad at sometimes but overall was fine?
Well, if that {~}so called friend{/~} of yours completely cuts off communication after ONE measly disagreement, then they were never your friend and they shouldn't be trusted!
This has happened to me AT LEAST TWICE!
	. . .

	[MADELINE left angry]
You know that phrase "bottom of the barrel", right?
Well, some of these people that I've mentioned have reached the bottommost depths and SOMEhow found ANOTHER GOD DAMN BARREL!!!!
	Recursive Barrels, even!
It's absolutely ludicrous how these people exist, breathe the same air, and presumably will live longer than I will because of social reasons!
It's disgusting, abhorrent, tragic, and abysmal all at once!
I know I have anger issues, but I overreact a lot to MAKE A POINT.
And YOU are the cause of all my frustrations.
I absolutely refuse to believe I'm the only one who feels this way!
This is why I'm debating leaving Celestecord, because several people (whom I shall not name, despite my wishes) fall into these categories and are just the worst of the worst!
I wouldn't wish these traits on my worst enemy!!
And you know the worst part about all of this???
	{big}I'LL be considered the problem!!!!{/big}
Well, I'm {~}soooooo{/~} sorry that your lives need to be 100% clean of all drama, good god!
What's the point of being dead inside if you can't live a little, eh??
You can only experience true joy after crushing despair, can't you???
For gods sake, grow up! Get a thicker skin!
Why can't I just be normal and not get upset over this stupid crap?!?
	I {~}learned LuaCutscenes{/~} to make this dialog!!
	...

	[MADELINE left sad]
	...

	[MADELINE left sadder]
	...
	Alright, I'm done...
You can beat the level now...

	[MADELINE left sad]
Sorry to burst like that, but I just needed to get it off my chest.
At least I feel better now that it's out for people to see. Nothing to hide.

	[THEO right normal]
Reading this a few months after writing, right before release, it's kind of silly.
I left it in for legacy purposes. Sorry everyone. Hopefully the other levels are better.
Again, I need to clarify that I no longer believe most of these things that I said back then.
But it's not like me to cut content, so...
Ah, whatever. Go get the heart.

	Alright.

	[THEO right serious]
	Gather around, team.
	Here's a story courtesy of L_SW.

	[THEO right normal flip]
	{~}*ahem*{/~}

	[THEO right serious]
Long ago, there was a player named Madeline.
Madeline was a dedicated mountain climber and adrenaline junkie.
After climbing Canada's tallest mountain, she decided that it wasn't enough for her.
However, Madeline was not up to the challenge.
After getting clobbered by rocks to seek out the Heart of the Mountain...
Her morale was lower than it had been since she first arrived at said Mountain.
But, instead of training, what did she do?
	She decided to cheat.
A very unfortunate scenario for any individual, but she was very shortsighted at the time.
After finding the Heart of the Mountain, it rejected Madeline and refused to communicate.
That was when Madeline realized what she had done wrong.
After long and arduous months of training...
Quickening her breath, improving her stamina...
She had decided to go for it once more.
This time, she was skilled enough to delve deep into the Mountain and find the Heart.
The Heart of the Mountain was proud that Madeline overcame her short-sighted motives for a cheap reward.
And Madeline herself felt more at peace, not only due to finishing what she wanted...
But because she fixed her biggest mistake.
	...
So, the moral of the story?
Don't cheat your big accomplishments. You won't feel as good as you would think.

epilogue=
	[THEO right normal]
	Fun fact!
This story was based on a real event that happened to L_SW themselves.
They cheated 7B Golden because they thought it would be something worth doing, but it most certainly wasn't.
It's also technically the plot of Flexwell, with Madeline beating 8C final but then doing it again later.

Welcome to a tutorial I made!
I hope this level teaches you how to play the game effectively.
Be sure to check your settings, make sure the music/sound/controls are what you want them to be.
Special thanks to at least half a dozen others for looking over the level to make sure it was the best I could make it!

room01=
[]
Here are some barriers for you.
You can either jump over them or climb them.
Like many other games, holding jump makes you jump higher.
To climb, hold the grab button and move up or down.

room02=
[]
Here, you need to climb the wall.
Jump up onto the wall, hold grab, then hold up or climbjump up to win.

room03=
[]
In this room, you can die.
Don't fall into the pit!

room03death=
[]
Well, that's ookay.
You have infinite lives in Celeste! Keep going!

room04=
[]
In Celeste, you have this move called a Dash.
Dashes can move in eight directions, cardinal and diagonal, excluding various variants that are irrelevant.
You can dash only once in midair, but it commonly recharges after touching the ground.
Once you get used to it, Dash into the wall to obliterate it.

room05=
[]
This game also has spikes.
As you may expect, they will kill you.

room06=
[]
And that about covers the basics!
The next few rooms will go over common objects you will find in most levels.
This one has Strawberries.
Strawberries, also known as Red Berries, are optional collectables that add to a berry counter.
They collect after you touch the ground, but certain objects prevent them from collecting.
In this instance, it's the trigger marked by the differently colored ground.
If you jump fast enough, touching the ground for 1/6th of a second or less, they also don't collect.
Try collecting multiple at once!

room07=
[]
This is a Key.
It opens Lock Blocks when you get close.
I'm sure you can figure it out.

room08=
[]
These are jumpthroughs and binoculars.
Jumpthroughs are like regular blocks, but they're only solid on the top, so you can... {~}jump through{/~} them, on the bottom.
The binoculars allow you to control the camera and look ahead at the room.

room09=
[]
Cute, ain't it?
{!}Anyway,{/!} entering the background tiles changes the wind pattern.
This doesn't normally happen in levels, but I put background tiles there to visualize the wind triggers.
Wind affects your movement, making it easier or harder depending on the direction.

room10=
[]
{~}{# 666666}sigh...{#}{/~}
Springs.
If you step on them, they bounce you.
I'll try to hide my mild disdain for this mechanic for the sake of the tutorial!

room11=
[]
These are Cassette Blocks.
You may recognize them as Beep Blocks from Super Mario Galaxy.
Basically, they appear and disappear on a timer, and are tangible or intangible as such.
They don't appear while you're inside their hitbox, so it's safe to stay there.
Collecting a Cassette makes all the Cassette Blocks in the map deactivate.
The only exception is if you time it just right, in which one will be active forever until you leave the room.

room12=
[]
B-Side unlocked, you say?
We'll worry about that later.
Anyway, Refills are green crystals that give you all your stamina and Dashes back when you grab them.
If you don't have low stamina, or if you have all your Dashes, then they don't collect.
Use them to grab the Touch Switches to open the Switch Gate to progress.

room13=
[]
Here's a filler room where you need to navigate through a simple maze.
The room is dark to make it more interesting.

room14=
[]
A few more things before we wrap up:
Crystal Hearts are major collectibles found in most levels, and they can be almost any color.
Depending on the level, they're either very secret collectibles or they end the level altogether.
{~}This{/~} map ends when you collect the Heart. The Red and Yellow ones in this room are impossible to collect.
Sometimes, levels can end with cutscenes or similar instead of the Crystal Heart.
There's also a Checkpoint, which allows you to start from this room whenever you return to map.
Save & Quit allows you to do that in any room, {!}BUT{/!} with the catch that when you enter the file on the main menu, you don't get to choose which map. You just go to the Save & Quit location.
The Spinners act like Spikes, as in they make you explode.
Each level has their own mechanics, of which there are far too many to teach here. {~}Sorry!{/~}
{~}{# 666666}There's also a secret in this room, if you can find it...{#}{/~}
Thank you for playing my tutorial, and good luck playing Celeste!

roomb0=
[]
Welcome to the B-Side!
B-Sides are normally harder but shorter versions of a level.
Unfortunately, because of the nature of collabs, I couldn't make this the actual B-Side, and I needed to make it a separate level instead. Sorry!
For this specific B-Side, it'll show various mechanics found throughout the game.
Beat the level by going to the left after getting the Key on the right.
If you prefer no spoilers on game mechanics and want to discover them yourself, maybe don't play this level.
Good luck!

	The PULP technique.

pulp_technique=
	[GRANNY right normal]
Here's how to perform the PULP technique.
	{~}Special thanks{/~} to aurelia184 for discovering this.
Step one: Align yourself above or below where you want to go. In this case, go to the Cliffside Background Tiles.
Step two: Emote with EmoteMod, then Savestate while still emoting. Press down to leave the Emote afterwards.
Step three: Align yourself to the side of where you want to go. In this case, it's the Snow Background Tiles.

	[GRANNY right mock]
Make sure to do this after the previous alignment, or it won't work.

	[GRANNY right normal]
Step four: Emote, then Loadstate. Then, DO NOT PRESS DOWN! Press Up, Left, or Right, THEN Down to leave the Emote.
If all the steps were performed correctly, you should have teleported to the matching position. In this case, the Lost Levels Background Tiles.

"I do not believe that it is statistically possible to get every golden strawberry without using assist mode, or cheating in some way. I kinda think that <Maddy> Thorson was trolling us by putting these strawberries in the game, and having no way to tell if someone is using assist mode just by looking at the screen footage. I think <she> knows full well that it's impossible, and the whole thing is little more than a social experiment to see how many people will cheat and then try to pass their work off as legitimate. There is no achievement or reward for getting these strawberries. You don't unlock a special ending where Theo chips a tooth on the gold strawberries in your pie. You do get a stamp of a gold strawberry on your save file if you succeed in getting all 25 gold strawberries. But PC players have already learned to hack their save slot to manipulate these stamps - including removing the assist stamp. Certain youtubers who shall remain nameless claim to have gotten every golden strawberry legitimately within a week of the game's release - even going so far as to say that it was fairly easy to do compared to other games they've played. Having carefully inspected their videos and held extensive conversations with them and hearing their conflicting stories about why they were forced to use an assist mode enabled save to make their videos, but did not have an assist mode enabled save slot to show at the beginning of the videos, I am 100% certain that these are doctored videos made by nerdowells. That's not to say these people aren't good at the game. Even making a doctored video to look like you got the gold strawberries without cheating requires a tremendous amount of skill at the game. Please do not take this as a personal attack against anyone for their videos. Rather, consider this a cautionary note to you. Do not take these videos as proof that it's possible to get these strawberries and decide that you too are going to accomplish this, because if soandsoyoutuber can do it, so can you. I have yet to see a legitimate video that convinces me that it's possible. In the hunt for clicks and subscribers, youtubers sometimes deceive their audiences and end up wasting their time. If you're going to attempt these golden strawberries - understand that if you want recognition for the feat, you're going to have to make sure that you have proof that you're not cheating. If you're just doing this for your own personal sense of self-satisfaction that's great. But nobody is going to believe that you got all the gold strawberries if you tell them that you did. Don't even attempt to tell people you accomplished this unless you have video to back it up. Do not play on an assist mode enabled save slot, and then expect people to believe that you just didn't use any assist options. Play on a non-assist enabled save slot, or don't bother. Show the full experience, from title screen to level. Play with the game clock turned on. Pause the game on occasion so that people can see that you don't have assist mode available in your options. Play with the original music on. Don't make up some excuse about how you had to turn the music off because it was distracting. Anything to make it difficult to doctor the video. And even that might not be enough. The only surefire way to prove you did this is to livestream your accomplishment. But more importantly - think long and hard before you even attempt this. Is it really worth it? People aren't going to believe you unless you show proof, and that proof is going to be difficult to produce. You're unlikely to be able to monetize a legitimate video because it will contain copyrighted music. You're not going to make money doing this. Don't let an ambitious youtuber vying for clicks trick you into wasting your time. Understand before you begin that it's probably an impossible feat. If you understand this and you still want to go for it - good luck."

 [MADELINE left normal]
In Greek mythology, Sisyphus or Sisyphos (/ˈsɪsɪfəs/ ⓘ; Ancient Greek: Σίσυφος Sísyphos) is the founder and king of Ephyra (now known as Corinth). He reveals Zeus's abduction of Aegina to the river god Asopus, thereby incurring Zeus's wrath. His subsequent cheating of death earns him eternal punishment in the underworld, once he dies of old age. The gods forced him to roll an immense boulder up a hill only for it to roll back down every time it neared the top, repeating this action for eternity. Through the classical influence on contemporary culture, tasks that are both laborious and futile are therefore described as Sisyphean (/sɪsɪˈfiːən/).2
Etymology
R. S. P. Beekes has suggested a pre-Greek origin and a connection with the root of the word sophos (σοφός, "wise").3 German mythographer Otto Gruppe thought that the name derived from sisys (σίσυς, "a goat's skin"), in reference to a rain-charm in which goats' skins were used.4
Family
Sisyphus was formerly a Thessalian prince as the son of King Aeolus of Aeolia and Enarete, daughter of Deimachus.5 He was the brother of Athamas, Salmoneus, Cretheus, Perieres, Deioneus, Magnes, Calyce, Canace, Alcyone, Pisidice and Perimede.
Sisyphus married the Pleiad Merope by whom he became the father of Ornytion (Porphyrion6), Glaucus, Thersander and Almus.7 He was the grandfather of Bellerophon through Glaucus;89 and of Minyas, founder of Orchomenus, through Almus.10 Another account related that Minyas was Sisyphus's son instead.11
In other versions of the myth, Sisyphus was the true father of Odysseus by Anticleia instead of Laërtes.12
Reign
Sisyphus was the founder and first king of Ephyra (supposedly the original name of Corinth).8 According to Pausanias, Sisyphus, as king, founded the Isthmian games in honour of Melicertes, whose dead body was found washed up along the Isthmus of Corinth, having been carried to shore by a dolphin.13 In a fragment of Pindar, he instead founds the games (in honour of Melicertes) upon the instructions of a group of nymphs.14
Conflict with Salmoneus
Sisyphus and his brother Salmoneus were known to hate each other, and Sisyphus consulted the Oracle of Delphi on just how to kill Salmoneus without incurring any severe consequences for himself. From Homer onward, Sisyphus was famed as the craftiest of men. He seduced Salmoneus's daughter Tyro in one of his plots to kill Salmoneus, only for Tyro to slay their children when she discovered that Sisyphus was planning on using them to eventually dethrone her father.
Cheating death
Sisyphus betrayed one of Zeus's secrets by revealing the whereabouts of the Asopid Aegina to her father, the river god Asopus, in return for causing a spring to flow on the Corinthian acropolis.8
Zeus ordered Thanatos to chain Sisyphus in Tartarus. Sisyphus was curious as to why Charon, whose job it was to guide souls to the underworld, had not appeared on this occasion. Sisyphus slyly asked Thanatos to demonstrate how the chains worked. As Thanatos was granting him his wish, Sisyphus seized the opportunity and trapped Thanatos in the chains instead. Once Thanatos was bound by the strong chains, no one died on Earth, causing an uproar. Ares, the god of war, became annoyed that his battles had lost their fun because his opponents would not die. The exasperated Ares intervened, freeing Thanatos, enabling deaths to happen again and turned Sisyphus over to him.15
In some versions, Hades was sent to chain Sisyphus and was chained himself. As long as Hades was trapped, nobody could die. Consequently, sacrifices could not be made to the gods, and those that were old and sick were suffering. The gods finally threatened to make life so miserable for Sisyphus that he would wish he were dead. He then had no choice but to release Hades.16
Before Sisyphus died, he had told his wife to throw his naked corpse into the middle of the public square (purportedly as a test of his wife's love for him). This caused Sisyphus to end up on the shores of the river Styx when he was brought to the underworld. Complaining to Persephone that this was a sign of his wife's disrespect for him, Sisyphus persuaded her to allow him to return to the upper world. Once back in Ephyra, the spirit of Sisyphus scolded his wife for not burying his body and giving it a proper funeral as a loving wife should. When Sisyphus refused to return to the underworld, he was forcibly dragged back there by Hermes.1718
In another version of the myth, Persephone was tricked by Sisyphus that he had been conducted to Tartarus by mistake, and so she ordered that he be released.19
In Philoctetes by Sophocles, there is a reference to the father of Odysseus (rumoured to have been Sisyphus, and not Laërtes, whom we know as the father in the Odyssey) upon having returned from the dead.clarification needed Euripides, in Cyclops, also identified Sisyphus as Odysseus's father.
Punishment in the underworld
As a punishment for his crimes, Hades made Sisyphus roll a huge boulder endlessly up a steep hill in Tartarus.82021 The maddening nature of the punishment was reserved for Sisyphus due to his hubristic belief that his cleverness surpassed that of Zeus himself. Hades accordingly displayed his own cleverness by enchanting the boulder into rolling away from Sisyphus before he reached the top which ended up consigning Sisyphus to an eternity of useless efforts and unending frustration. Thus, pointless or interminable activities are sometimes described as "Sisyphean". Sisyphus was a common subject for ancient writers and was depicted by the painter Polygnotus on the walls of the Lesche at Delphi.22
Interpretations
Black and white etching of Sisyphus by Johann Vogel
Sisyphus as a symbol for continuing a senseless war. Johann Vogel: Meditationes emblematicae de restaurata pace Germaniae, 1649
According to the solar theory, King Sisyphus is the disk of the sun that rises every day in the east and then sinks into the west.23 Other scholars regard him as a personification of waves rising and falling, or of the treacherous sea.23 The 1st-century BC Epicurean philosopher Lucretius interprets the myth of Sisyphus as personifying politicians aspiring for political office who are constantly defeated, with the quest for power, in itself an "empty thing", being likened to rolling the boulder up the hill.24 Friedrich Welcker suggested that he symbolises the vain struggle of man in the pursuit of knowledge, and Salomon Reinach25 that his punishment is based on a picture in which Sisyphus was represented rolling a huge stone Acrocorinthus, symbolic of the labour and skill involved in the building of the Sisypheum. Albert Camus, in his 1942 essay The Myth of Sisyphus, saw Sisyphus as personifying the absurdity of human life, but Camus concludes "one must imagine Sisyphus happy" as "The struggle itself towards the heights is enough to fill a man's heart." In his 1994 The Body of Myth, J. Nigro Sansonese,26 building on the work of Georges Dumézil, speculates that the origin of the name "Sisyphus" is onomatopoetic of the continual back-and-forth, susurrant sound ("siss phuss") made by the breath in the nasal passages, situating the mythology of Sisyphus in a far larger context of archaic (see Proto-Indo-European religion) trance-inducing techniques related to breath control. The repetitive inhalation–exhalation cycle is described esoterically in the myth as an up–down motion of Sisyphus and his boulder on a hill.
In experiments that test how workers respond when the meaning of their task is diminished, the test condition is referred to as the Sisyphusian condition. The two main conclusions of the experiment are that people work harder when their work seems more meaningful, and that people underestimate the relationship between meaning and motivation.27
Literary interpretations
Painting of Sisyphus by Titian
Sisyphus (1548–49) by Titian, Prado Museum, Madrid, Spain
Homer describes Sisyphus in both Book VI of the Iliad and Book XI of the Odyssey.921
Ovid, the Roman poet, makes reference to Sisyphus in the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. When Orpheus descends and confronts Hades and Persephone, he sings a song so that they will grant his wish to bring Eurydice back from the dead. After this song is sung, Ovid shows how moving it was by noting that Sisyphus, emotionally affected for just a moment, stops his eternal task and sits on his rock, the Latin wording being inque tuo sedisti, Sisyphe, saxo ("and you sat, Sisyphus, on your rock").28
In Plato's Apology, Socrates looks forward to the after-life where he can meet figures such as Sisyphus, who think themselves wise, so that he can question them and find who is wise and who "thinks he is when he is not."29
Albert Camus, the French absurdist, wrote an essay entitled The Myth of Sisyphus, in which he elevates Sisyphus to the status of absurd hero.
Franz Kafka repeatedly referred to Sisyphus as a bachelor; Kafkaesque for him were those qualities that brought out the Sisyphus-like qualities in himself. According to Frederick Karl: "The man who struggled to reach the heights only to be thrown down to the depths embodied all of Kafka's aspirations; and he remained himself, alone, solitary."30
The philosopher Richard Clyde Taylor uses the myth of Sisyphus as a representation of a life made meaningless because it consists of bare repetition.31
Wolfgang Mieder has collected cartoons that build on the image of Sisyphus, many of them editorial cartoons.32
Hollis Robbins, reading Ovid against Camus, proposes that the punishment was not a punishment but a recognition and making legible of Sisyphus's essential nature: his compulsion to push against the rules.33

	Heyo!
	This is L_SW speaking.
This level was inspired by Flexwell, specifically that part in the {~}Stubbornness ripoff{/~} with the hour long dialog box.
No, I am not kidding. That really happened.
In any case, I'm here to talk again!
You can skip the cutscene at any moment to get back to the gameplay, as you know, but then you'd have the fear of missing out.
	...
	Consider the following:
Cloudy with a Chance of Conspiracy
	That's it.
That's all I wanted to say.
	...
I'm bound to repeat some stuff here, aren't I?
There's only so many original ideas out there.
But they haven't been made by YOU.
	Make them anyway.
What do you think of all the levels so far?
	They're surely something, aren't they?
Some- no, most of them are pretty low quality, but there's a few bangers in there.
	Anything you wanna talk about?
	...
	......
Oh, right, you can't speak, my bad.
As with the original Dialog Purgatory, this was inspired by the Summit Down-Side secret dialog.
However, unlike 7Down, this is actually interesting to read.
	...Right?
	...
	hi axel
	...
	So, about CORE Birthday Pack.
It's been in the works ever since October of 2025 at the very least, and it was probably earlier.
	I'm too lazy to check!
I'm proud of every part of it.
	Prologue needs no introduction.
Techtorial teaches people about the obscure stuff we found along our journey.
CORE is the "big huge level" that has quite a few secrets in it.
The .bin Dustbin is the "big huge lobby" that's basically the definition of scope creep.
Depths of the Mountain was another original "big huge level" designed by HYP3RBYT3.
	C(o)redits is fun.
Hangout World was meant to be a place to just relax with your friends, play Hide & Seek, stuff like that.
COREpilogue was inspired by the YouTube Channel banner! How exciting!
The Final Juice is another PULP level.
Affliction is similar to Flexwell, but instead of 9A, it's 6A.
100 Flaws is a real shitty 100traps level that's not really fun, but at least it's original.
See, this is what I mean when I say my mapping style is flawed!
If I make original levels, they're either too short or too awful to play.
If I use vanilla Celeste's levels and edit them to make them what I think is fun, people get mad at me for being unoriginal.
It's actually kinda funny when you think about it!
But it'll be fine I think.
	...
	So, you ever played WEBFISHING?
	It's a game.
I liked it. It had some cool parts.
My least favorite part was grinding for weeks to get ten million dollars for the Prosperous Fishing Rod.
Technically not required for what the game considers 100%, but I'm not the game. I'm ME.
	And I do EVERYTHING.
Reminds me of the people who say Golden Berries in Celeste aren't required for 100%.
They're technically right, but I don't consider Goldens to be not a part of 100%.
...That sentence makes sense, I swear!
Anyway, if Golden Berries are unlocked at the same time of the C-Sides, they don't count toward the Berry total in the same way as Red Berries, and they're still a part of the game...
What's left for them to not count as part of 100%?
	Let's break down these arguments.
Number 1: Goldens are post-game content.
Well, first of all, that would mean C-Sides are also post-game content, but also, C-Sides have an achievement for beating all of them.
Number 2: Goldens have no Steam/console achievement.
Well, if you exclude all the platforms, the game itself doesn't really have an achievements list.
Plus, the 1-Up isn't even a thing that happens usually, and it does absolutely nothing, yet it gets an achievement?
Number 3: Goldens don't count toward the Berry count.
	Ookay, two words: Moon Berry.
I don't think I need to say much more.
Number 4: Goldens are too difficult to count for 100% completion since only about a thousand people in the world at the time of writing have gotten the hardest one.
...You know what, fair enough. I can't really argue that.
All this kerfuffle is basically a distraction from the real point:
People have different opinions of what 100% completion is.
And sometimes, most people have different opinions from the game itself!
I'm one of those individuals who considers 100% completion to be the following:
"Doing everything in a game that can be done, as long as it's not infinitely scaling or requires multiplayer in an otherwise singleplayer game."
For some examples, Portal 2's co-op wouldn't count as part of 100% completion FOR ME SPECIFICALLY because I couldn't figure out a way to control both characters by myself.
Another example, some of WEBFISHING's Quests do get harder, but only to a limit...
And since they HAVE a humanly achievable limit, I consider it part of 100% despite the fact it would take so long to get.
If there's achievements in the game, that's awesome, I will do them if it doesn't conflict with my anti-multiplayer sentiment.
However, if they exist on the platform and not in the game itself, I would still probably do them!
My arms hurt. I'll continue this later.
	...
It only took me a week but I'm back.
	What was I talking about?
	Oh well...
	...
Behold, my seven room Solar Purgatory themed map that I will never make.
	Genesis
	Hypothesis
	Synthesis
	Hypnosis
	Kinesis
	Terminus
	Apotheosis
	...
Anyway, I came up with a concept for an excessively oversized map.
You may have seen a hint for it in Hangout World.
	The Big Bang.
	Or, its full name...
Railway to Heaven, The Central Reckoning Doom-Side; The Big Bang: Reaching for The Final Solar-Black Nova -
Pinball Express, Masked Purgatory (Transfinite Speed of Light From the Unravelling Depths of The Mysterious Twilight Tartarus)
Checkpoint 1 - Glacial is split into six rooms that are each split into three thirds.
Room 1.1 - Machination (Clandestine, Divulge, Valor)
Room 1.2 - Quixotic (Fantasy, Reality, Insanity)
Room 1.3 - Dissonance (Pianissimo, Fortissimo, Tessitura)
Room 1.4 - Crepuscular (Frightening, Insightful, Almighty)
Room 1.5 - Cacophony (Earsplitter, Deafness, Aftermath)

Room 2.2 - Bewilderment (Bamboozled, Confounded, Stupefied, Mystified)
Room 2.3 - Photon (Betelgeuse, Rigel, Vega, Polaris)

Room 2.5 - Pinnacle (Mutation, Purity, Starfall, Ragnarök)
Checkpoint 3 - Unity is split into three rooms that are each split into five fifths.
Room 3.1 - Madness (Experiment, Redundancy, Breakthrough, Chimera, Ascension)
Room 3.2 - Mythical (Perseus, Icarus, Heracles, Odysseus, Achilles)
Room 3.3 - Rumber (Memories, Anguish, Spectacle, Joy, Conclusion)
Checkpoint 4 - Big Bang is one room.
Room 4.1 (Room 15, Final Room) - Big Bang (Infinity, Ivory, Ideality, Immortality, Irregularity, Impossibility, Eternity)
This hypothetical level has an absolutely horrid amount of rooms.
15 "rooms", to be exact, but since the rooms are segmented, it's technically 60 rooms.
There's also an absolute Henry Stickmin's worth of references, and some of them may be accidental. Some are also very very obscure.
How many can you find? I'll list off the rooms again so you don't need to sit through the entirety of Dialog Purgatory 2.0 to see them.
Checkpoint names - Glacial, Blazing, Unity, Big Bang
Room 1.1 - Machination (Clandestine, Divulge, Valor)
Room 1.2 - Quixotic (Fantasy, Reality, Insanity)

What does the Everest Timeline look like?
There's a lot of maps in the world. I wonder how many are canon.
For example, three maps: Shrouded Thoughts, Lavender Love, and The White Hole.
All three take place after Farewell, but I'd argue they happen in that listed order as well.
I won't spoil any of the maps, but given the events that take place in them, I think it would make sense.
There's also the following maps that could be considered:
	Expert Remix
	Bounceleste (only Prologue-Summit)
	Monika's D-Sides
	Arphimigon's D-Sides (only Prologue-Epilogue)
	Arphimigon's D-Sides After Story (a.k.a. Solidarity)

	Flexwell
	Conqueror's Peak

	Depths of the Mountain
	Banana Mountain
	Cosmic Column
	Beyond the Summit
	Summit Prologue
	Waterbear Mountain
	Cryptobiosis
	Glitchtophen
	And probably a few more?
I don't know whether all of these would fit, but they're certainly ideas.
	What I want is:
Either explicitly said by the author to be "a post-Farewell-story",
	A Celeste Mountain revisit,
Or just heavily implied to be related to the main Celeste story.
Collabs like Strawberry Jam or Breeze Contest also have maps that could be considered canon to the Everest Timeline.
But that brings up the question...
"Do the REST of the collab levels count?"
I'd recommend not touching that with a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole!
Could be kinda interesting to maximize the amount of content in the timeline, though.
	So, umm... yeah!
I'd write a story around that.
	...
	What's Madeline's power level?
I'm about to go on a tirade about this, so have fun.
	So.
In the world of Dragon Ball, specifically Dragon Ball Z since the concept was introduced there, power levels were a huge thing in the Saiyan and Frieza Sagas.
A power level was a measure of your raw strength and speed.
It is NOT a measure of how technically skilled you are, the durability of your body, etc..
A higher power level means more strength and more speed, though you can specifically hone strength or speed to become more specialized.
I will be using numbers and multipliers from ThunderBolt's as-of-yet-unreleased power level calculation series for Dragon Ball Z.
	For comparison:
An average human has a power level of 5.
Demon King Piccolo has a power level of, I believe, 220. However, I lost the source, so take it with a grain of salt.
Raditz has a power level of 1,200.
Nappa has a power level of 6,400.
Vegeta has a power level of 18,000.
All three Saiyans can turn into a Great Ape to multiply their power by ten, so 12,000, 64,000, and 180,000 respectively.
Jeice, Burter, and Recoome all have power levels {~}around{/~} 65,000, I haven't counted the exact value.
I have the source this time, it's just laziness. Just know it's below 66,000 but above 65,000.
Captain Ginyu has a power level of 120,000.
Frieza's first form has a power level of 530,000.
	OOKAY, back on topic!
I want to establish a few rules here.
First: Within reason, I want to highball the values as much as possible to make Madeline even funnier than she was before.
Second: This is not meant to be taken seriously, so take every measurement as if you were watching a movie instead of a rigorous scientific analysis.
Third: I have no idea what I'm doing.
	Alright, let's begin...
Starting with Madeline's base power level, she's clearly fairly fit for a Canadian gal.
Jumping really high compared to her height, climbing high walls with a heavy backpack and no gear except her hands, etc. is pretty impressive.
However, since a bullet has a power level of 17 according to TB's numbers, she has to be between 5 and 17.
She is a legal adult due to her drinking alcohol, but she's not as skilled as a bandit like Yamcha.
So, my estimate for her power level would be around... 10.
A nice, clean number that's easy to multiply later.
Since we're trying to highball within reason, let's say Madeline got her potential unlocked during the end of the Prologue Saga, when she dashes for the first time.
This would be a 6.67x multiplier to her power level, making her at 66.7 now.
The Forsaken City Saga doesn't have much to talk about.
The Old Site Saga, though, is where things get interesting, because Badeline appears for the first time.
This would be a good time to talk about Domination Multipliers.
If you're 1.1x stronger than someone, you can Start to Overwhelm them.
If you're 1.25x stronger than someone, you can Easily Overwhelm them.
If you're 1.4x stronger than someone, you can High-End Dominate them.
If you're 1.55x stronger than someone, you can Tank Attacks Unhurt from them.
If you're 1.7x stronger than someone, you can Raw Power Manipulate them.
	So, Badeline, am I right?
She can realistically fall into any of the multipliers, but since we're trying to highball, I'll keep this brief.
At the end of the dream episode of the Old Site Saga, a monster appears that we can assume is related to Badeline that makes Madeline wake up.
I would assume this makes Badeline 1.7x stronger than Madeline. This would level her at 113.39, which isn't too shabby.
Since you can only really have your potential unlocked once, this means the Celestial Resort Saga, Golden Ridge Saga, and Mirror Temple Saga are fairly unchanged.
However, since we're trying to highball as much as possible, I'll do a funny and make her stronger anyway.
Not by much, though, only 1.1x. The minimum possible boost.
Theo teaches Madeline the feather breathing technique at the end of the sky rail episode.
Madeline has a conversation with Theo during the beginning of the Reflection Saga.
I'd say both of these make her 1.1x stronger.
This would make her go from 66.7 to 73.37 to 80.707.
All of this is a drop in the bucket, however.
It's hard to say whether Badeline got stronger during the first episode of the Reflection Saga, but we can say she did for plot reasons.
Combine that with the end of the Celestial Resort, Golden Ridge, and Mirror Temple Sagas, and she can get pretty strong.
113.39 to 124.729 to 137.2019 to 150.92209 to, finally, 166.014299 after the conflict on the cliff.
During the second half of the Reflection Saga, Badeline goes into a state that can only really be classified as relatable to Super Saiyan.
Super Saiyan is a 33x boost, according to TB's numbers. A Rage Boost is 1.57x, which she clearly was during that time.
Badeline is at 5,478.471867 now, or 8,601.20083119 when enraged.
However, Madeline is clearly Easily Overwhelming Badeline in the Reflection Saga. What's going on here?
Madeline is now at 10,751.5010389875 when she was only 80.707 a mere couple hours ago? How did she get 133.216x stronger in that time?
Don't worry about it, I've seen worse. Much worse.
At the end of the Reflection Saga, during the reconciliation episode, Badeline gets knocked out of Super Saiyan, calms down, and reverts back to base.
She then... merges back with Madeline.
Now, since Badeline was already a part of Madeline, we can assume this is an additive merge instead of a multiplicative fusion.
10,917.5153379875 isn't the biggest number in the world, but it could be bigger.
During the The Summit Saga, Madeline + Badeline fly through the previous levels, but the only real power gains I can see are during the end of 1500M and start of 3000M.
We can say they went from 10,917.5153379875 to 12,009.26687178625 to 13,210.193558964875 at the peak.
After that, a year passes between the The Summit Saga and the Core Saga.
So, as you might expect, Madeline + Badeline get 1.1x stronger still. They are now at 14,531.2129148613625.
After this, the Depths of the Mountain Saga occurs.
	Now, I should clarify something.
I'm working off the assumption that we're in the Everest continuity, which adds the extra previously non-canon movie and post-show content.
This means Madeline would be stronger than in the Vanilla continuity, but it'll be fine.
Anyway, I don't know much about DotM's story since it hasn't been made yet as I'm writing this, but we can assume it takes place some time between Core and Farewell.
This makes Madeline 1.1x stronger, again, or 15,984.33420634749875.
We're getting pretty precise, aren't we?
	Then, Farewell happens.
In between the DotM Saga and the Farewell Saga, Madeline gets another 1.1x stronger to be at 17,582.767626982248625.
However, Madeline is then split from Badeline due to a schism.
Badeline's power is unquantifiable at this point in the story, but let's say she got stronger proportionally to her last appearance.
1.5441034% should be enough precision for our uses.
This would put Madeline at 17,311.27151423991640658492175 during the Farewell Saga.
Let's say Madeline gets a power up during the event horizon episode, and again during the re-reconciliation episode.
Notably, she doesn't re-fuse with Badeline here, but Badeline still helps Madeline on the final steps.
Madeline goes to 19,042.398665663908047243413925 and then further to 20,946.6385322302988519677553175.
And, real quick, since the numbers are so large anyway, I'm gonna round most of these digits off.
	20,946.64 should be enough precision.
Madeline then comes to terms with Celia's death at the end of Farewell, which should put her at 23,041.304.
Given my lack of knowledge on the events of the post-canon story, I'm not sure how to PRECISELY number these, but I have minimum estimates.
Shrouded Thoughts, Lavender Love, and The White Hole all give 1.1x training boosts.
Madeline goes from 23,041.304 to 25,345.4344, then 27,879.97784, then 30,667.975624.
So, according to the most recent data on the Everest Timeline, Madeline's final power level is over thirty thousand!
This means she CAN defeat the Saiyan Saga with ease, but the Frieza Saga would prove challenging for her.
However, remember that these numbers are far from perfect.
I could've highballed even harder if I want to, done some more research, added more maps like Monika's D-Sides...
But there's so much that I thought this would be a good end point.
I hope in the future she can take on the Ginyu Force with ease.
I might redo this later, though. Stay tuned!
(spoilers: i, in fact, redo this later, and she does :yay:)
	...
	Hi, it's later!
I decided to redo everything from the start.
Current stuff: Pico-8, Vanilla, Glitchtophen, Depths of the Mountain, Shrouded Thoughts, Expert Remix, Monika's D-Sides, Lavender Love, The White Hole.
First of all, Madeline's power in the Prologue Saga could definitely be way higher.
So, an average warrior human has a power level of 70.
Let's say that an experienced climber like Madeline could be at this point in time would be at a similar level.
This doesn't make ANY sense and is objectively incorrect from a real life standpoint...
	But consider:
	{0.2}.{0.2}.{0.2}.{0.8}I don't fucking care.
You're in MY house now, I make the rules.
So, Madeline's base power level is now at 70. That's 7x than the previous attempt!
If you remember, we're trying to highball, but I've slackened on the "with reason" bit over time.
So, Madeline still gets her potential unlocked at the end of the Prologue Saga.
This puts her at 466.9 during the Forsaken City Saga.
The Old Site Saga plays out the same, with Badeline being 1.7x stronger, but now Madeline gets 1.1x stronger beforehand due to resting for a good portion of the night.
Madeline (Old Site Saga) - 513.59
Badeline (Old Site Saga) - 873.103
Let's skip forward a bit because I already went over this before.
Madeline (end of Golden Ridge Saga) - 564.949
Madeline (start of Reflection Saga) - 621.4439
Badeline (Celestial Resort Saga) - 960.4133
Badeline (Golden Ridge Saga) - 1,056.45463
Badeline (Mirror Temple Saga) - 1,162.100093
Badeline (start of Reflection Saga) - 1,278.3101023
Alright, since Badeline is basically, for lack of a better term, the "vengeful" version of Madeline, we can go with a higher rage boost multiplier. 1.84x.

Enraged Badeline (start of Reflection Saga) - 2,352.090588232
As for the Badeline fight episode in the Reflection Saga, let's just take our best guess.
As of now, the Buu Saga hasn't been recorded yet.
The the the the thethe the the the t he the the.
As such, let's just do a 2x multiplier from Super Saiyan to Super Saiyan 202, and 3x from SSJ2 to SSJ3, or 198x base total.
This would make Enraged Super Saiyan 3t3yedaiyan 3 Badeline.
	This would put her.
	At a waewwwae.
	582,142.42058742.
Madeline and Badeline then merge together, which just adds their power together, yeah, you know.
583,420.73068972, very small iDelete Character development powerups actually happen quadrice, not twice.
	Starting from 583,420.73068972, then 641,762.803758692, then 705,939.0841345612, then 776,532.99254801732, and finally 854,186.291802819052.
Then, one final time at the peak between The Summit and Epilogue.
That would be 939,604.9209831009572 at that point.
Then, one year passes between the Epilogue Saga and the Core Saga. New power level: 1,033,565.41308141105292.

Bananamaaan specifically asked to be represented as Badeline, so I very graciously allowed that. Heh.
[BADELINE left normal]
Hi!
Bananaman here
you might remember me if you played flexwell
I made a very terrible part in that
I also made a rant in it, but you probably didn't make it that far :)
but anyways, I'm here to chat with you
I'm too lazy to change portraits so uh this is what you get
okay what to talk about what to talk about…
okay we're stealing from a previous rant of mine
It's about Frank Sinatra's song, My Way.
My Way is an amazing song I think
it's not my usual taste in music
I usually like very fast electronic music with no lyrics
(though recently I have been listening to sum vocaloid ever since someone introduced me to flavor folly)
but I like My Way for some reason
okay anyways, I love the song, but I has one glaring issue
frank Sinatra edges
edges the rhyme I mean
the rhyme scheme for the song goes A B A B
so it has a line, then another not rhyming line
then a line that rhymes with the first line,
then a line that rhymes with the second line
a lot of songs and poems have that, and they're fine,
but Mr. Sinatra over here REALLY like to make it seem like he's going to rhyme
here's an example of 2 lines
“I've loved, I've laughed, and cried,
I've had my fill, my share of…… losing…”
The next line rhymes with cried,
but he really edges saying losing, making it seem like it's going to rhyme!
I fricking die every time I listen to that part
that's not the only part where he edges it, but I think it's the worst example
okay so anyways you better not click skip cutscene because I have spent a while writing this
and we're not even done!
2 rants for the price of one!
crazy right?

[MADELINE right normal]
no sybau ts pmo lmfao :wilted_rose:

[BADELINE left normal]
okay for rant 2 I'm going to describe some of my favorite gd levels to you!
for the first one, we're going to be analyzing ispywithmylittleeye
(ispy for short)
ispy is an easy demon, and is an epileptic Victorian child's worst nightmare
the level starts out with a giant eye watching you do some cube from the top of the screen,
and then the colors of the level invert and stuff starts flashing light blue and pink
get used to that, because the entire level is flashing colors
in that section you are cube and have platform between slopes that move into place right before you get there
after that the eye disappears and you have to do mini upside-down plane between smaller eyes
then after that, you go into a ball, and the colors in invert,
and the eye is in the background now
and now it's flashing orange and red, and you can't see shit
it's a pretty simple ball section, and the colors re-invert halfway through it
after that section, it's another ball, but you have a yellow orb following you
so it's kinda a ufo but with funky physics
also the eye kinda disappeared
in this section it's purple I'm pretty sure, and the colors un-invert
and you have to navigate between saws in a tight corridor
okay after that, it's spider, it's flashing an ass load of colors, but it's a pretty basic spider,
except every .75 seconds or so, the screen turns black,
and doesn't turn back on for another 0.75 seconds or so
so basically it's kinda a memory section that's not actually that hard
after that it stops flashing black, and it's a very fast spider section where it flashes a bunch of colors
after that, you hold a dash orb while the eye chases you,
which then leads into a very slow cube section
also I'm bored of this so I'ma wrap it up rq
its then a plane boss fight section with lasers and orbs you have to hit, with a lot of flashing colors
and then it's more plane where all you have to do it hit dash orbs and you win
okay now we're done
…
jk 3 rants for the price of 1

okay there just adding some length
okay rant time
im going to rant about my ADHD brain’s thought process when I get a school assignment
okay so I get an assignment,
First I have to ask, does it look enjoyable?
if yes, I'll do it
(assuming whatever games I'm probably playing on my Chromebook aren't too engaging)
if it doesn't look enjoyable, I have to think about how much of my grade it's worth
if it's not a lot, I'm not doing it
but if it's like a big project that's worth a lot,
I next have to think about the due date
if it's due in like a week, I'll put it off til last minute
if it's due in 1.5 days, I'll do it if I don't have anything better to do
(like if my computer got taken and can't play games)
if I don't have something better to do, I'll probably do it
but in the most half-ass way so it's fast
but if I do have something to do, I'll tell myself I'll get it done tomorrow
Tomorrow rolls around.
The game on my Chromebook is very engrossing.
I'll do it at home.
I go home.
I forgot it at school.
I tell myself I'll rush do it when I get to school
The game on my Chromebook is very engrossing.
it is now late, and now I won't do the assignment until my parents make me
because it's not going to get any more late
so it basically boils down to whether I'm playing games on my Chromebook or not
if I am I won't do the assignment, if I'm not playing games, I will.
the answer is I usually I am
because I am THE game guy at my school
if I wasn't playing games constantly I wouldn't have anything to my name
the school has tried various methods to stop me from playing games
one of them literally just outright blocking every site that haven't personally marked educational
none of them have worked
I'm just too good I think :smugeline:
…
Holy shit!
you made it all the way to the end of my rant
great I guess
crouch three times if you liked my rant
(im always watching)
Playwell :3
