Hi, mapper here! Just a heads up, even if you think you know all the tech, i recommend checking out the dreambump and dashbounce sections in the gym.

Another thing i should probably explain: the yellow bubbles in this map keep your speed and you can hold a battery in them. Good luck!

rcbtutorial=
Welcome to the rcb tutorial room!

Rcb stands for reverse cornerboost: this is basically a climbjump in the opposite direction followed by turning around as quick as possible to avoid speed loss.

In this room, you will have to hyper on the swap block and quickly do an upright dash, followed by shortly turning left to perform a leftwards climbjump before facing right again.

This can be a tricky input to learn, practicing it in lower game speeds might help if you can't get it to work.

Good luck!

ungrabdialog1=
If you release grab right when touching a bumper while holding a battery, you will get a bumper bounce as if you weren't holding the battery and you can dash with the battery for a short time.

This is called a bumper ungrab or freezeframe ungrab.

If you throw the battery before hitting the bumper, you were too early; if you throw it after hitting the bumper, you were too late.

ungrabdialog2=
When dashing with the battery, make sure to hold grab again during the dash: otherwise you will throw the battery when the dash ends.

ungrabdialog3=
If you hit another bumper while already holding a battery in an ungrabbed state, you will automatically ungrab a second time.

ungrabdialog4=
Ungrabs can be set up by grabbing the battery right before hitting the bumper (make sure to just tap grab and not hold grab).

ddjdialog1=
You can dream jump twice if you buffer the first jump and jump a second time during coyote frames. Two jump buttons are recommended for this.

ddjdialog2=
Dream double jumps can also be done in the other direction to slow down faster.

smugglesdialog=
It is possible to bring a battery through a dream block by grabbing it right before entering the dream block. This can be done easily in any direction except downwards.

When dream grabbing after a smuggle, you will be able to dash while holding the battery.

thryperdialog1=
You can dream hyper while holding a battery by performing a smuggle, dream grabbing, quickly facing right again and inputting a hyper.

thryperdialog2=
This can also be done without dream grabbing: you can release grab inside the dream block, do a regular dream hyper and regrab the battery. This only works for updiagonal smuggles.

stalldialog1=
You can regrab the battery while ungrabbed: this will stop you in mid-air for a very short period.

stalldialog2=
If you stall right before hitting another bumper, you will automatically ungrab again.

thlimbdialog=
You can climb walls with a battery by jumping, neutral dropping, regrabbing the wall and climbjumping. To do another theo climb, neutral drop the battery at the peak height of the climbjump and repeat.

Make sure to not hold any directions when doing the fourth climbjump, otherwise you will not be able to pick the battery up again.

cclimbdialog=

You can maintain your crouched state as long as you are moving upwards: this can be done with regular climbjumps or wallboosts.

gultrasdialog=

Usually, if you do a downright dash after a hyper on flat ground, your speed will be reset: this does not happen if you can cancel that dash by grabbing a battery before the dash ends.

This is called a grounded ultra or gultra.

dashbouncedialog1=

In this map, two different types of dashbounces are used: the first one is a wallbounce cancel.

To perform this tech, you need to wallbounce and dash immediately after the jump. This will result in a small "jump" after the wallbounce.

dashbouncedialog2=

The second type of dashbounce is done with a gultra: for this tech, you need to ultra, jump and then immediately do a gultra. It does not work without the jump.

cbdialog=

Cornerboosts are buffered climbjumps on the upper part of a block: these climbjumps will maintain your speed.

Cornerboosts will always be done on a wooden block in this map and will be set up with bubbles.

backboostsdialog=

You get a rightwards speed boost by throwing a battery leftwards in mid air. To reduce speed loss, try to face left for a very short time before facing right again.

It is also possible to ultra after a backboost.

dreambumpdialog1=

This is by far the weirdest tech in this gym, i have no idea what it is called so im just calling it a dreambump.

If you dream grab, dash into a bumper and get bumped into a dream block, it is possible to perform a dream jump. The dream blocks basically act like white dream blocks this way.

The dream grab is not required but makes this input easier.

dreambumpdialog2=

Since you can do one dream jump, you can also do a dream double jump and even a dream hyper this way. The timing on these inputs are probably later than you think.
